  • Assist with or work under supervision during machine power-up, ensuring systems start safely and function as intended.
  • Apply knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics while assembling and connecting related components in automated equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate and precise builds.
  • Collaborate with team members and leads to resolve build issues, improve processes, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Train and cross-train in other areas of the build process to expand skills and support overall team flexibility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow clean room or clean space protocols to protect sensitive equipment and assemblies.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly, including building machines and sub-assemblies from prints.
  • Ability to perform electrical assembly and wiring based on schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills for both mechanical and electrical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in an assembly environment.

  • Experience with automation equipment, including automated packaging and assembly systems, is a plus.
  • Experience as a mechanical assembler, machine builder, or similar role in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Experience organizing work using bills of materials (BOMs) and assembly documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, open-concept culture and communicate clearly with colleagues and leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to building high-quality, reliable equipment.
