Reports to manager on duty CULVER'S® JOB DESCRIPTION PORTER JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the restaurant by performing interior and exterior facilities tasks and managing inventory efficiently and accurately. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistentlyCheck over restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environment Complete daily, weekly, and monthly jobs timely and accurately Maintain the appearance of the building interior, exterior, and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal as needed Follow company safety standards at all times and look out for the safety of other team members and guestsCoordinates job duties around other opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening Put food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area using the First-In-First-Out method while monitoring shelf life and code dates Take temperatures of required foods upon delivery accurately, and document as requiredMaintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant Complete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly Report possible areas of incomplete closing or other restaurant operations to the General Manager Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assignedQUALIFICATIONS Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain a sense of urgency while working independently and with a team Attention to detail Strong time management skills Minimum one year of experience maintaining equipment and/or machinery, and/or maintaining indoor/outdoor spacesWork Environment&Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those to be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Move items weighing up to 100 pounds for various needs Possess manual dexterity for assembly and maintenance tasks Able to reach, bend, push, pull and/or stretch body to grab or move itemsRemain in a standing position for 4 or more hours at a time Work both indoors and outdoors each up to 50% of the time Climb up and down a ladder to a height of 25 feet Able to use various kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, grills, toasters, etc. Frequent exposure to cold temperatures from coolers and freezers, as well as heat from cooking equipmentFrequent exposure to weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and wind Able to see, read, and comprehend a variety of written or displayed media Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
