Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour
SUMMARY:
Assist the Manager with Bowling Center operations and floor management to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Train, schedule, coach and evaluate staff and conduct performance reviews Direct and monitor daily work activities to ensure conformance to standards and adherence to policies and procedures Interact with guests to ensure they receive prompt, efficient and courteous service Perform counter control duties, including lane-to-lane solicitation and special projectsEnsure utilization of lanes and equipment is maximized for profitability through efficient control of guests Open and / or close Center including arranging cash tills with appropriate funds prior to opening Assist with the development of league business through effective relationships with league bowlers and adherence to league formatsServe as a liaison for open and league bowlers when issues arise, using judgment as to which concerns should be referred to management Assist in preparation of financial reports in relation to daily center operation Complete Attendant duties as needed KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience 1 year supervisor experience in high-volume entertainment, hospitality or restaurant venue Preferred:
General bowling knowledge and background Point-of-sales experience Skills
Required:
Accurate and detail-oriented Strong organizational skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Strong leadership skills Above average math skills Preferred:
Computer experience (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Abilities
Required:
Ability to work fast and efficiently Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to serve both internal and external customers Ability to manage projects in a timely and efficient mannerAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities REQUIRED TRAINING
Treasure Island guest service training TIPS training and certification Point-of-sales training Effectively Handling Harassment training Title 31 training Any position-related training as determined by manager PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand for long periods throughout the day Must have a good sense of balance and be able to bend, kneel and stoop Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordination WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Bowling Center Complex including flashing lights and frequent loud noises; May require going onto the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be required Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals High volume direct public contact
