Position Overview
Join the Core Publishing Solutions team as a
Bindery Operator
, where your mechanical skills and attention to detail keep production running smoothly. You'll set up equipment, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality output in a clean, climate-controlled environment. Flexibility for multiple shifts and occasional overtime is required.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup&Operation
Review job specs for materials, setup, and production requirements
Monitor equipment performance and product quality; coordinate maintenance when needed
Perform simple to moderately complex troubleshooting on bindery and press equipment
Communicate effectively during the shift and at shift hand-off
Quality, Documentation&Workflow
Evaluate mechanical condition and complete preventative maintenance tasks
Use computer-based workflow tools to manage files and job progress
Document activities accurately in
MII
,
SAP
, and Tier Boards
Assist with feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, and cycle counts
Safety, Productivity&Continuous Improvement
Participate actively in safety programs and maintain a safe work environment
Meet or exceed production and quality standards using standard work procedures
Support
continuous improvement
initiatives and participate in project teams
Provide backup support to other operators as needed
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching
Wearing PPE including steel-toe shoes and ear protection
Essential Skills
Experience with
press machines
,
bindery equipment
, and general machine operations
Ability to troubleshoot printing and press equipment
Understanding of bindery or subscription-based production workflows
Additional Skills&Qualifications
Experience with computer-based workflow applications
Familiarity with
MII
and
SAP
Ability to develop and implement process improvements

Shifts Available
1st Shift:
6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift:
2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
3rd Shift:
10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

This is a Permanent position based out of Eagan, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
Sign-on bonus of $2,500 after 90 days. Safety is a significant part of the culture. The environment is interactive, inclusive, clean, and climate-controlled. Continuous investment in large capital machines ensures the company stays at the forefront of printing technology. Excellent benefits packages are offered. The company utilizes lean manufacturing processes across the board. There is a shift differential of $3/hr for the 2nd shift and $5/hr for the 3rd shift. Employees typically start on the 2nd or 3rd shift and can be promoted internally to the 1st shift. Approximately 20-25 people retire each year, providing growth and career-building opportunities.
