Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

This role supports production operations by performing wiping tasks on finished parts, inspecting and maintaining product quality, and completing all required documentation. The position also includes opportunities to work in shipping, where you will help move and organize products to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. You will follow established procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area, and contribute to a collaborative and quality-focused team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wiping operations on parts according to training and established procedures.
  • Remove paint and repaint turnbacks or rejected parts as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Inspect all parts for defects and ensure they meet quality and accuracy requirements.
  • Remove any damaged or non-conforming parts from the production line.
  • Process and complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Meet production standards while using time efficiently and maintaining consistent output.
  • Demonstrate dependable attendance and adjust schedule when needed to support department workload.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area at all times.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting and bending techniques and use of protective equipment when required.
  • Handle safety hazards correctly and follow SDS guidelines to support an accident-free workplace.
  • Support quality goals and ISO 9001 standards by producing accurate work and helping address non-conformances.
  • Identify additional material and time requirements (AMT) in your work tasks to help track added costs and time.
  • Communicate positively with team members, offer solutions, and learn from mistakes.
  • Demonstrate respect, commitment, and cooperation, and act as a supportive team player.
  • For shipping assignments, assist with moving, organizing, and preparing products for shipment.
  • Operate a forklift in shipping after receiving on-the-job training, following all safety guidelines.
Essential Skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all parts meet quality and accuracy standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform wiping operations as trained.
  • Capability to remove paint and repaint parts accurately when required.
  • Experience or comfort working on a production line or in a production assembly environment.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse production setting and handle repetitive tasks with patience.
  • Reliability in attendance and willingness to adjust schedule to meet department workload.
  • Ability to meet established production standards while managing time effectively.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in detailing or similar fine-finish work is beneficial.
  • Previous warehouse production or production assembly experience is a plus.
  • Prior forklift operation experience is an advantage but not required; training will be provided.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep work areas neat, clean, and organized.
  • Willingness to take initiative, accept responsibility, and continuously improve work quality.
  • Ability to support quality systems such as ISO 9001 by following established processes.

Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled production and warehouse facility. First shift wiping roles generally run from 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Fridays from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and some flexibility available to accommodate daycare needs. Second shift wiping roles typically run Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Shipping roles generally operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Team members work on or around production lines and in warehouse areas, handling parts, inspecting quality, and completing paperwork. Shipping staff also operate forklifts after training, following all safety procedures. The facility emphasizes safe work habits, proper use of protective equipment where required, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly. The dress code aligns with a typical production and warehouse environment, focusing on safety, practicality, and readiness to perform hands-on tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Red Wing, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
