Job Description

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients within our eye clinic, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-office experience in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, maintaining records, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems (EHR/EMR)
  • Handle patient registration, forms, and documentation
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and correspondence
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and waiting areas
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality (HIPAA)

Main Postion Details:

Start: Once cleared onboarding process

Pay: $21.00/Hr

Schedule: Mon - Fri 6:45am -3:15pm

Location: St. Paul, MN

Duration: 3 month contract

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration is a plus
  • Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and health insurance processes
  • Experience using EPIC
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
