Position Summary
Security Guards shall be responsible for observing and reporting any suspicious activity, providing safety and protection to our employees and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Observe and report suspicious activity, identify subjects and provide detailed physical descriptors of any customer who may appear to show signs of suspicious behavior. Ability to provide details of any/all incidents that occur through incident reportingMaintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies and procedures Conduct detailed sweeps of the building including the surrounding property and parking lots, while practicing rigorous attention to Communicate and liaise with law enforcement, fire departments and other first ResponderEstablish and maintain working relationships and provide assistance as requested to managers, supervisors and employees on an ongoing basis to enhance the security and safety of all employees, contractors, Monitor property access and public access to the building using a closed-circuit television camera system in addition to visual surveillance while on foot patrol around theWorking knowledge of security operations and safety practices, state and local laws and regulations. Other duties as may be required as requested by Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or GED preferred Successfully complete a required background checkPossess a valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Guard card Prior experience in the security field and/or customer service preferred Experience in communicating effectively and professionally with all Previous experience in the cannabis industry is highly recommendedConsistently demonstrate integrity and honesty, reliability and dependability Available to work varies hours/days, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and/or events Ability to diffuse high-intensity situations with diligence, professionalism, and Ability to draft security incident reports in a clear and concise manner with careful attention to detail.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally be able to pull/push carts 100-200 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and consistent.
