JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Senior Accountant (General)
Start Date: Immediately
Duration: 3+ months (extension possible for the right candidate)

Work Model: Hybrid – 3x a week (no exceptions)
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Sr.
Accountant participates in all function-based accounting activities including estimates such as revenue deferrals, selling expenses, G&A expenses, marketing, budgeting, and forecasting.
Also performs all month-end close items, reconciles balance sheets, and assists with month-end reporting duties.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for various function-based accounting activities (e.g., revenue deferrals, recording of legal expense, marketing, depreciation, etc.)
Completes month-end close duties accurately and timely (e.g., recording/approving journal entries, performing variance analysis, updating subledger details, etc.)
Interacts with accounting, finance, and operations partners in North America and globally
Prepares/reviews reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts and analyzes balances for accuracy
Communicates unreconciled items to management
Ensures compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Works with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and reviews
Identifies and implements process improvements proactively
Completes special project work as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3+ years of relevant experience
Strong accounting background
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Self-disciplined and self-motivated
In-depth understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties
Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Word
Ability to work within multiple SAP systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently
Ability to analyze data, determine facts, and reach logical conclusions
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Willingness to challenge processes and identify improvements
Strong time management skills
Ability to build professional relationships in a team environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA and/or Master's Degree in Accounting
CPA certification
SAP implementation experience
