Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist
LHH is looking for an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist for a client in Mason Ohio. This position is responsible for managing customer accounts with a primary focus on resolving past-due balances through professional, service-oriented communication. The role emphasizes relationship management, issue resolution, and consistent follow-up to support timely payments. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $21 and $24/hr.
Responsibilities
Managed an assigned portfolio of customer accounts with a focus on reducing delinquent balances Conducted outbound collection calls and email outreach to discuss past-due accounts and payment status Maintained a high level of customer service while working through payment delays or issues Built and maintained positive relationships to encourage timely payment and long-term account retentionDocumented all collection activity, customer conversations, and commitments in the system Monitored account aging and prioritized follow-up efforts based on risk and payment behavior Researched account history to understand payment patterns and outstanding issues Collaborated with internal teams to resolve account concerns impacting paymentEscalated chronic or high-risk accounts in accordance with internal policies Ensured compliance with company policies, payment terms, and applicable regulations Qualifications
2+ years of experience in customer-facing collections or accounts receivable Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally Service-oriented mindset with a focus on problem resolution Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow-ups simultaneouslyComfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficient with basic office software and account management systems If you are interested in learning more, please apply now.
