A growing industrial operation is seeking a hands-on shop foreman or aspiring trainee to lead daily shop operations. This role combines fabrication, and warehouse oversight, supporting the assembly of wire rope, rigging, and lifting products. This is a strong fit for someone with shop leadership experience who can manage workflow, ensure quality, and keep operations running efficiently.Key Responsibilities

Lead daily shop operations: workflow, scheduling, and task delegation Oversee fabrication of wire rope slings, chain slings, and rigging assemblies Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and capacity tables Manage inventory, shipping/receiving, and order accuracy Operate and oversee use of tools/equipment (cutting tools, swagers, testing machines)Ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and organized work environment Support and guide team members to meet production goals Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial shop environment Prior lead, supervisor, or foreman experience preferred Strong knowledge of hand tools, measurements, and fabrication processes Experience with inventory control and shipping/receiving Rigging, wire rope, or lifting equipment experience highly preferredStrong attention to detail, reliability, and leadership mindset Job Type&Location This is a contract to hire position based out of San Leandro, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
