Staff Accountant, San Rafael

Hoxton Circle is partnering with a financial services client that has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant.
This is a minimum 1-year temporary role with potential for a full-time opportunity.
The hourly pay rate range is $40-$44
The Staff Accountant position offers exposure to a multi-entity, fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
In which the individual will be responsible for performing multi-entity, intercompany transactions, general ledger, high-volume bank reconciliations, and accounts payable.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a degreed staff accountant looking to strengthen their accounting foundation while working with solid leadership.
You'll work closely with an experienced accounting leadership team and gain hands-on exposure across multiple business units and entities.
Key Responsibilities
• High-volume bank reconciliations and daily cash management support
• General ledger accounting and journal entries
• Month-end close support
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Accounts payable workflows and invoice processing
• Multi-entity accounting support across various business units
• Financial reconciliations, schedules, and accounting analysis
• Support ongoing accounting operations and special projects
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong debits and credits foundation
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• High-volume bank reconciliation and cash management experience preferred
• Multi-entity accounting experience is highly valued
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, filters, Pivot Tables, large data sets)
• Experience with a mid- or large-tier ERP system (Yardi or similar is helpful)
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with accounting courses completed.
Work Environment
• 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.
The 3 days in office are non-negotiable.
