Technical Lab Support
Under direct supervision, responsible for providing routine to moderately complex technical lab support for a research facility. Responsibilities
Collects, analyzes, and processes laboratory samples. Performs a variety of tests, using both routine and special techniques and methods; collects, evaluates and interprets data. Assists in report writing, maintains records of expenditures and tracks chemical and supply inventory. Sets up equipment and materials for course instruction.Performs routine library work, including finding literature and copying articles. Prepares stock solutions, chemical reagents, and commonly used samples. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Hands-on lab experience and animal handling experience. Ability to operate laboratory equipment. Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Education:High school diploma or GED is required. Experience: One (1) year of experience is required. This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
