A Mathnasium Tutor / Instructor is responsible for delivering mathematical instruction to students using the Mathnasium method. The Tutor / Instructor is committed to providing exceptional customer service through an expert approach that is personal and prescriptive, attending to each individual student?s needs. The Tutor / Instructor builds students? confidence and self-esteem through successful encounters and interactions with carefully selected materials. The Tutor / Instructor works as part of a team and operates in a Team Teaching environment where collaboration and communication ensure all student needs are addressed. The Mathnasium Tutor / Instructor is the backbone of Mathnasium?s customer service by delivering exceptional math instruction for students.

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional math competency through calculus (can be current calculus student)
• High motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm.
• Classroom and/or one-on-one mathematics teaching/tutoring experience a plus.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• Willingness to learn and be trained
• Desire to work year-round.

Our current instruction hours are: Monday to Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (or 1:00pm to 5pm). We could open on Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm instead of open on Friday.
Position Summary Mathnasium of Mukilteo is looking for an exceptional Math Tutor / Instructor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. Following hiring, the new team member is required to complete training in the Mathnasium Method?. This is an in-person part-time role with flexible yet consistent hours. The instructor is expected to work two to three full shifts per week.
Job Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students
• Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
• Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
• Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method?, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students? progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed
