Davenergy Solutions is currently seeking a
full-time Electrical Design Engineer
to support electrical engineering and design services for healthcare infrastructure projects. This role is primarily focused on healthcare facilities, including hospitals, laboratories, clean rooms, medical office buildings, and other clinical environments, while also supporting additional facility types as required.
This position is responsible for producing electrical design layouts, performing engineering analysis, and developing construction documents for new construction and renovation projects. The selected applicant must be a licensed Electrical Professional Engineer (P.E.) and capable of stamping and sealing electrical drawings. This is a fully remote position, with limited travel required for site inspections and field assessments.Requirements:
Produce electrical design layouts and construction documents for healthcare facilities (hospitals, laboratories, clean rooms, etc.) Perform electrical feasibility studies, load calculations, and power system analyses Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems, including normal, emergency, and critical power systemsDevelop and review electrical one-line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, and design narratives Conduct site surveys and existing condition assessments for renovation and retrofit projects Perform or support arc flash studies and electrical system coordination analyses Coordinate with mechanical, commissioning, and multidisciplinary design teamsProvide construction-phase engineering support, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field observations Perform construction verification and support field functional testing as needed Review work for code compliance and conformance with applicable standards Stamp and seal electrical construction documents as a licensed Professional EngineerRelevant Experience Experience designing electrical and
mechanical/electrical
building systems, preferably in healthcare environments Experience performing critical power and electrical infrastructure assessments Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems across a variety of facility types Experience with medium- and low-voltage power systems Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, NETA, and IECCWorking knowledge of other building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and IT/communications Experience performing site surveys and field inspections Strong technical documentation and report-writing skills Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting schedule and budget requirements Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skillsRequired Skills and Knowledge Ability to assess existing conditions and develop electrical design solutions for complex healthcare facilities Ability to coordinate design requirements with facility stakeholders and operational constraints Ability to determine compliance of electrical designs with codes, standards, and project requirementsKnowledge of healthcare-specific electrical systems, including emergency and essential electrical systems Ability to independently manage technical quality, schedule, and deliverables Proficiency with engineering design software and standard computer applications Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environmentEducation Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution Active Electrical Professional Engineer (P.E.) license REQUIRED Ability and authorization to stamp and seal electrical construction documents Commissioning experience or certification is a plus Benefits401(k) Annual Profit-Sharing contribution to 401(k) 10 Paid Federal Holidays Health Insurance Dental Insurance Paid Time Off Optional Benefits Accident Coverage Vision Insurance Short Term Disability Long Term Disability Term Life Insurance Medical Bridge Critical Illness Any and all job offers are contingent pending work status eligibility and passing a federal government background check.
