Description
AccuraGen is seeking a dedicated Research Associate to join our innovative team. In this role, you will support various research projects focusing on assay development and clinical validation. You will assist in experimental design, data collection, and analysis while collaborating with scientists to advance our MRD assay.
Responsibilities:
Perform molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing.
Receive and process specimen shipments
Contribute to the design and execution of experiments to support ongoing research projects.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation for experiments conducted.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe lab environment
Will assist with safety, hazardous waste, and facilities
Performs other duties as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques.
One year of experience working in a lab setting
Knowledge of basic laboratory safety and protocol
Skilled in working with basic laboratory equipment
Knowledge on hazardous waste management
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a research laboratory setting.
Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
