Job Summary

A well-established community banking organization is seeking a New Accounts/CSR to join its branch banking team in Santa Barbara, CA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a customer-focused banking professional with teller, new accounts, and client service experience who enjoys building relationships, supporting daily branch operations, and helping customers select the right banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities

- Open, maintain, and service consumer accounts while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with bank policies.
- Assist customers with banking products, account questions, transactions, and general service needs.
- Process teller transactions accurately and support day-to-day branch operations.
- Cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs and relationship opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with banking regulations, internal procedures, and BSA requirements.
- Support multiple branch needs as required, including travel between branch locations when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Compensation: $20 to $31.90 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and maintain consumer banking accounts.
- Process teller transactions and support branch operations.
- Cross-sell banking products and build strong client relationships.
- Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

- 1 to 3+ years of banking teller, new accounts, or client service representative experience.
- Experience with consumer accounts is required.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, including BSA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced branch environment.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable interacting with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with business accounts is preferred, especially for higher-level CSR roles.
- Prior experience as a Client Service Representative II, Client Service Representative III, Senior CSR, New Accounts Representative, or Bank Teller.
- Ability to support complex business account needs.
- Interest in branch leadership support responsibilities for senior-level opportunities.
