Job Description
This is primarily an in-office position based in Santa Barbara, California. Hybrid schedule may be considered after training.
A/P&Vendor Responsibilities:·
Process accounts payable (AP) transactions and vendor setup·
3-way match of packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders·
Coordinate invoice approvals in accordance with company procedures·
Support purchasing by completing vendor credit applications·
Interact with vendors and resolve
discrepancies/issues·
Request/review vendor Form W-9s·
Assist with monthly sales and use tax reporting·
Assist in year-end Form 1099 processing
Payroll&HR Responsibilities:·
Process biweekly payroll in coordination with the company’s external payroll provider ·
Provide administrative HR support including onboarding documentation, employee records maintenance, and coordination with benefits/payroll providers
General Accounting Responsibilities:·
Reconcile general ledger accounts·
Enter transactions for company credit cards·
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures·
Provide occasional support for customer billing and invoicing·
Prepare reports and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel·
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation·
Support employee expense reimbursements·
Support external audits and financial reviews·
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies·
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards·
Provide ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and other accounting projects·
Reports to the Controller
Qualifications:·
2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment·
Experience with QuickBooks Online and integrated
inventory/manufacturing
systems preferred·
Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and general accounting principles·
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word·
High attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills·
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment·
Experience with a MRP system a plus·
US work authorization (required)
