Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer with Inspection Experience is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes while supporting inspection activities to ensure product quality and compliance with technical specifications. This hybrid role bridges engineering and quality, making it essential to drive process efficiency, resolve production issues, and support regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, document, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and repeatability.

Collaborate with quality, production, and engineering teams to resolve technical and process-related issues.

Perform in-process and final inspections on parts and assemblies using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

Interpret and apply engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications to ensure proper inspection and process development.

Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) following AS9102 requirements.

Develop work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control and inspection plans.

Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using problem-solving tools such as 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams.

Provide technical input to support tooling design, fixture setup, and equipment selection.

Requested and managed changes to engineering documents and production documentation.

Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing documentation, inspection records, and process validation data.

Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards.

Conduct in-process and final inspections.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role with hands-on inspection experience.

Proficient in the use of inspection tools and understanding of dimensional inspection principles.

Solid knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining/manufacturing processes.

Familiar with AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 requirements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Working knowledge of PPAP, SPC, and PFMEA is required.

Strong English written and verbal communication skills and can engage with internal teams and external customers.

Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The speaking and understanding of the Spanish language is a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP and quality systems is a plus.

Excellent communication skills; capable of working independently and cross-functionally.

Must be able to Pass the DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing.

Must be able to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Participate and support customer and regulatory audits.

Must be able to Lift a Min of 25lbs

Standing 50% of the time

Preferred Skills:

Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.

Experience with PPAP, SPC, and PFMEA.

FAA Repair Station experience is a plus.
