divh2Cement Bulk Powder Driver/h2pThe Cement Bulk Powder Driver is responsible for safely driving a multi-axle double trailered truck for transporting bulk cement powder from the cement plants to the batch plants.
/ppResponsibilities:/pulliOperate a multi-axle double trailered truck safely, obeying all traffic laws/liliMake normal operating adjustments to equipment and material being hauled (e.g. secure hatches and hoses)/liliOperates pneumatic and conveyor controls/liliPerform a pre and post trip inspection, recording all deficiencies on a DVIR and communicate with maintenance department as necessary/liliRecord all necessary daily trip/load logs as directed/liliCommunicate with dispatch daily for all loads regarding times, material, and locations as required/liliCommunicate in a respectful, clear and timely manner/liliRegular washing of vehicle to include removal of cement build-up on all exterior parts of tractor and trailer/liliWork in a safe manner following all DOT, OSHA, MSHA and CPC safety guidelines/liliReport all incidents/accidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur/liliAttend safety meetings as scheduled by management/li/ulpEducation:/ppHigh school diploma or GED/ppRequirements/Qualifications:/pulliValid Class A Commercial Drivers License with doubles endorsement and a clean driving record/liliExperience driving a tractor and 2 trailer combination commercial vehicle/liliExperience operating pneumatic controls/liliCurrent DOT medical certificate/liliWork varying shifts with varying start and stop times and available on weekends when needed/liliMust be able to work cooperatively with others/liliEfficient time management/liliUse radio to communicate with company personnel/liliMust be able to speak, read and write in English/liliMotions: climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, lifting (up to 75 lbs.), stretching, driving/sitting and shifting gears/liliDemonstrated commitment to safety/liliCan be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather/li/ulpConditions of Employment:/ppSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
