Robotics Engineer, Santa Rosa

Staff Robotics Engineer | Bay area (4 days on-site) | $200,000 to $220,000 + Equity
We're looking for a Staff Robotics Software Engineerto design and build the core systems behind a growing autonomous robotics platform.
You will play a key role in connecting robots, cloud infrastructure, and mission control systems so fleets can operate reliably in the field.
This is a hands on opportunity to shape how autonomous systems are deployed, managed, and scaled.
Responsibilities:
Design and build systems for device management, mission orchestration, and fleet coordination
Develop software that enables seamless communication between robots and cloud platforms
Create scalable infrastructure for real time monitoring and control
Improve system performance, reliability, and resilience
Collaborate with cross functional teams across hardware and software
Contribute to system architecture, APIs, and documentation
Experience required:
6+ years of experience in robotics or distributed systems development
Strong skills in C++ and Python
Experience with ROS or ROS2
Familiarity with cloud services, Docker, and CI CD pipelines
Proven ability to build reliable, scalable production systems
Strong problem solving skills and a collaborative mindset
