Full Stack Engineer, Santa Rosa

We are hiring a
Full-Stack Software Engineer
with strong front-end depth to help scale the contributor-facing marketplace and internal operations platform.
Our client is building the human data layer for multimodal intelligence and a marketplace that connects domain experts with high-paying AI training opportunities at leading AI labs.
You will own product features end-to-end across React, Django and PostgreSQL, working directly with the CTO in a small, high-ownership engineering team.
What you will own
Build end-to-end product features across the contributor-facing marketplace and internal operations platform.
Write Django views, serializers and migrations while keeping the React front ends that consume them in sync.
Lead front-end architecture decisions and set the bar for UI quality.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline work using GitHub Actions to Elastic Beanstalk.
Support deployment infrastructure and operational reliability.
Collaborate with product, design and operations to ship features that scale the marketplace.
Performance-optimize and debug across React, Django, PostgreSQL and infrastructure layers.
Improve the platform experience for contributors, domain experts, operations users and clients.
Must-have requirements
3-5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong front-end leaning depth.
Strong React experience and modern front-end fundamentals.
Proven ability to own product features end-to-end without dropping quality on either side of the stack.
Working knowledge of Django or a comparable back-end framework such as FastAPI, Rails or similar.
PostgreSQL fundamentals including indexing, query optimization and transaction semantics.
Performance optimization and debugging ability across the full stack.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, design and operations teams.
Nice-to-have requirements
Prior marketplace engineering at scale up two-sided marketplace company.
Founding engineer experience at YC startups or comparable early-stage companies.
Django-Q2 or Celery background for background tasks.
Multi-frontend monorepo experience using Vite or separate apps sharing a back end.
Experience with security-sensitive code: auth flows, payment webhooks or PII handling.
Background in data annotation, recruiting tech, expert networks or mark
Ideal background:
3-5+ years of full-stack engineering experience
Strong React and modern front-end fundamentals
Working knowledge of Django, FastAPI, Rails or a comparable back-end framework PostgreSQL fundamentals
Startup or high-ownership product engineering experience, preferably YC startups or Unicorns.
Marketplace, recruiting tech, AI data, annotation or expert-network experience is a strong plus
Location: San Francisco or Europe.
Remote acceptable for Europe-based candidates.
