Insulation Apprentice

Peak Technical Services is seeking a motivated Apprentice Sheet Metal Insulator to join our team in the Savannah GA area. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of thermal insulation on piping, ductwork, and other mechanical systems. This apprenticeship will provide you with essential skills and knowledge, preparing you for a successful career in the insulation industry.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation of insulation materials on various mechanical systems, adhering to safety and quality standards

Learn to measure, cut, and shape insulation materials to fit around pipes and ducts

Support experienced insulators in sealing joints and seams to prevent energy loss

Participate in training sessions to understand the properties and applications of different insulation materials

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety

Preferred:

Prior experience in construction or a related field is a plus

Basic knowledge of insulation materials and applications

Skills

Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in insulation work

Understanding of safety practices in construction environments

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment

Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
