Description
Local mechanical and plumbing contractor is seeking commercial plumbers for current and upcoming projects.
As a Commercial Plumber you will assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems, according to specifications or plumbing codes.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
Inspecting structure, locating and marking positions of pipes, connections, and passage holes for pipe in walls and floors
Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
Cutting, threading, and bending pipe to required angles
Repairing and maintaining plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains
Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
Keep records of work assignments.
Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, pre-assembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
Additional requirements:
2-5 years of commercial plumbing experience
Ability to read and follow schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client
Experience working with all the requisite hand tools and equipment of the trade
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
High standard of integrity and professionalism
Own basic set of tools and reliable transportation
Drug free at all times
