Accounting Associate
We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support our financial operations with a focus on general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting.
This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
You'll work closely with the CFO to ensure accuracy across accounts, especially during month-end close.
Schedule: 24 hours/week | Flexible (8:00 - 4:00 or 9:00 -5:00) Supervisory Responsibilities: No FLSA Category : Part-time, Non-Exempt Reports to: CFO Pay: $26$29/hour
What You'll Do
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations
Support and review month-end close, including AP and AR activity, accruals, and reconciliations
Identify and report discrepancies to the CFO
Maintain organized documentation for reconciliations and financial records
Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
Support grant-related financial tracking and documentation
Communicate with internal teams and external partners as needed
Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
25 years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of general ledger and reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency in spreadsheets; required to learn accounting software (Blackbaud)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with care
Physical & Other Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer regularly
Occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
May require occasional driving for work-related tasks
Successful completion of all role required checks
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
