Manager– Americas IT Digital Workplace Services Summary
Lead and manage a team of IT specialists across the Americas region, supporting global headquarters, key manufacturing sites, and office locations. Balance strategic leadership with hands‑on technical responsibilities, championing a modern, reliable digital employee experience and ensuring high service availability and performance. Drive both regional and global IT initiatives, coordinate with external vendors and local partners, and prioritize support needs, projects, and improvements aligned with organizational goals.Location
Niskayuna, NY (Capital District) Responsibilities
24/7 regional operational ownership of end‑user systems (desktop, laptop/tablet, peripherals, VDI, remote and wireless access). Lead a team of IT specialists in delivering high‑quality, continuously improving end‑user technology services. Provide direct support to end users, especially at the HQ location.Direct secure operation, administration, and maintenance of corporate computing and networking infrastructure at 24/7 regional sites. Develop IT risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. Coordinate procurement of IT equipment and supplies according to company procedures.Coordinate training for new IT regional specialists, both internal and external. Partner with Global Service Desk to ensure optimal service delivery and timely issue resolution. Hold team members accountable for commitments and results. Make talent decisions, including selection, development, performance management, and rewards.Manage a budget supporting all PC and peripheral expenses and chargebacks. Implement and manage hardware and software asset management best practices, including reporting and audits. Contribute to multi‑year IT roadmap, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Develop and communicate standard operating procedures for schedules, after‑hour support, ticket management, escalation, and assignment.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer service and staff efficiency. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of IT manager experience. 5+ years of direct people management experience. Ability to manage multiple tasks, functions, and resources simultaneously. Proven ability to deliver results within constraints of resources, time, and budget.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working in a multicultural and multilingual environment. Passion for delivering industry‑leading solutions in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to build stakeholder confidence. High professional ethics and respect for administrative policies.Deep understanding of PC and operating systems, including Office 365. Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing environment, including intrinsically safe devices. 5+ years leading end‑user computing organization supporting PCs, Windows OS (server/desktop), Office 365, application packaging, file/print services, and network/VoIP.Salary and Incentives
Base Pay Range: $110,000– $161,150 (adjusted for education, experience, skill set, and geography). Eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation based on company performance and individual results. Benefits
