The ideal candidate will have the ability to completely maintain this transfer station in an efficient and professional manner. They will possess both a team work mentality as well as self-motivating traits./ph3Essential Job Functions:/h3pTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned./pulliOperate heavy duty equipment such as excavators and bucket loaders (yellow iron equipment), with various other small machinery/liliRoutinely set up and inspect equipment prior to operation/liliHave knowledge of machine capabilities and limitations/liliObserve hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines to perform work duties in compliance of safety specifications/liliReceive written and oral instruction regarding material movement/liliMove materials over short distances, around facility/liliMaintain an efficient flow by loading transfer trailers to target load weight and reduce traffic congestion/liliCreate and maintain inclines or ramps/liliRepair machinery and replace parts as needed/li/ulpWork Environment:/pulliDaily exposure to physical environment including odors, loud noises, weather elements, etc./li/ulh3Requirements and Qualifications:/h3ulliApplicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States./liliHigh school/GED education completed; higher education is a plus./liliMinimum 2 years experience as Equipment Operator required./liliExperience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred./liliFluency in English required, Spanish bilingual is a plus./li/ulpThis job description is intended to be an accurate representation of the general functions of the job, rather than exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or experience.
