Description


Purpose of this position:The Community Outpatient Therapist position provides services that include diagnostic bio-psycho social assessments, individual, group and family therapy, substance abuse screenings, trauma exposure screening, domestic violence screenings, psychiatric evaluations, psychological evaluations, medication assessments and medication monitoring.  The Community Outpatient Therapist serves children, adolescents, families and adults who might have difficulty functioning in their community, home, or school.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Knowledge of professional casework principles, practices, and methodology

Knowledge of individual and group dynamics

Utilization of a variety of modalities and techniques to address the needs of each client and their family

Qualifications:

Master's degree:

Graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum.

Licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience (LSW, LPC, LCSW)

Bachelor's degree:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a recognized clinical discipline including social work, psychology, rehabilitation or activity therapies.

Graduate degree in clinical discipline with 12 graduate level credits in mental health or counseling from an accredited program.
