Position Overview:
As a Firmware Engineering and FPGA Design Specialist, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software for firmware (IC embedded code) applications. Your role will encompass both analog and digital hardware and software operating systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Architecture: Lead design architecture activities for various programs and IRAD projects, contributing to the advancement of technology.
Programming: Apply your expertise in machine language, assembly language, and high-level languages (e.g., System Verilog, VHDL, C, C++) to develop robust firmware solutions.
Hardware Development: Collaborate with the Hardware Engineering Team to complete hardware development, simulation, and verification for digital signal processing and general processing projects.
Team Collaboration: Support Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Project Managers, and Program Office staff to meet all customer objectives and program milestones.
Required Experience:
Active Secret Clearance
FPGA/Firmware Architecture: Proven ability to perform FPGA/firmware architecture and design. 4- 6 years’ Experience.
Test Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and analyzers.
Hardware Design: Comprehensive understanding and exposure to hardware design principles.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in System Verilog, C, C++, and MATLAB. 2-4 years’ Experience with MATLAB
VDHL Experience: 4- 6 years’ Experience
DSP Experience: Experience in digital signal processing (DSP).
An ACTIVE U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
