Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical), Washington

Job Description:

Pay Range: $85000year - $90000year

Requirement:

5-10+ Years relevant experience in Mechanical Design using CATIA V5 with Aerospace domain.

Candidate will execute the technical projects with the supervision of Technical lead engineer.

Technical experts, reporting to Engineering Manager.

Candidate will assist mechanical design and analysis of a wide range of mechanical structures, systems and other aircraft /Aerospace components.

Candidate will take technical guidance and mentorship during project execution.

Candidate will collaborate with team members in customer organizations and shall provide a periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.

Candidate will provide assistance in converting the customer requirements to project deliverables and define suitable processes to achieve the desired results/outcome.

Candidate will assist in creating statements of work, estimates, resource plans, and schedules.

Candidate will pro-actively seek information and assist to complete the work statements.

Candidate will assist the experts in applying use of design automation wherever possible.

Candidate will assist in domestic and global teams from a modern innovative and collaborative environment.

Candidate shall assist teams in out of the box and apply problem-solving skills to find solutions appropriately.

Required Skills, Experience:

Degree/ Associate Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Candidate shall have good knowledge in structural design, mechanical design, electrical wire harness design and material properties.

Candidate shall have good understanding on industry standards, aircraft requirements, design and certification.

Candidate shall have knowledge in aerospace material selection, drawing (Drawing based or MBD creation), processes (finishing and heat treatment) specifications, perform analyses like tolerance stack up, engineering or product quality investigation analyses.

Candidate shall have basic experience in developing designs using CAD Tools (CATIA V5) for Modeling, Drafting & Model Based Definition is an added advantage.
