The Senior Accountant is responsible for operation, maintenance, integrity, and improvement of the Company’s accounting processes. This includes preparing journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, billing and cash collection and other miscellaneous tasks related to accounting.

Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, including documentation for the use of estimates, the impact of changes in estimates, and associated file retention

Reconcile revenue related general ledger accounts monthly

Prepare operational analysis and reporting on a recurring and ad hoc basis

Design and implement procedures to ensure adequate control over the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and the design, implementation, and maintenance of general ledger reports

Write, modify and generate general ledger reports as needed

Improve general ledger operations – posting, reporting, and balancing – to drive faster, more accurate and complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings

Assist with developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures

Responsible for invoice creation, submission, and monitoring of the Company’s receivables aging

Support the annual audit and quarterly reviews by providing external auditors with requested documentation for transactions being tested

Assist with preparation of financial statements and investor requests as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

At least 3 years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance role

Experience with the maintenance and operation of general ledger software, preferably NetSuite

Experience with report-writing software

Preferred

CPA certification

Public accounting experience

Public company experience

Experience in the healthcare industry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and procedures

Strong understanding of internal controls (SOX)

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including the use of pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, as if functions, etc.

Knowledge of the healthcare industry

Strong time management and prioritization skills

Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage one's own individual projects

Present oneself in a professional manner and able to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contacts
