Job Opportunity in McLean, VA

We are seeking an experienced software application developer with a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS Services. This is a 6-month engagement located in McLean, VA, offering a chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Required Experience

10+ years of relevant experience in software application development.

Proficient in Java EE platforms and Spring Boot Framework.

Extensive knowledge of GraphQL, Hibernate, JPA, JSON, and XML.

Experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and DynamoDB.

Hands-on experience with messaging services like Kafka and ActiveMQ.

Skilled in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Proficient in code versioning tools such as Git and Bitbucket.

Understanding of build tools like Maven and Gradle.

Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services including EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot Framework, and AWS.

Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ensure scalable and reliable service design for high-volume systems.

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Debug and troubleshoot Java applications.

Enhance the performance and scalability of existing systems.

Conduct code reviews and ensure coding best practices.

Implement security measures to protect applications.
