Job Summary:
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves supporting healthcare delivery and patient management with flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the practice.
Essential Responsibilities: Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Provide reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients. Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery during patient visits by accurately updating medical records, initiating patient contact, and preparing patients for examinations. Collect vital signs and patient history, observe and report abnormal symptoms to physicians, and document all findings thoroughly.Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams. Manage medication samples and logs, coordinate patient testing and referrals, and communicate test results to patients. Obtain necessary consents for procedures and immunizations, and distribute educational materials to support patient understanding.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education resources, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments. Monitor equipment functionality and order necessary materials to support patient care. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
Education and Experience Required:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.
Work Shift:
First shift, full-time (40 hours per week).
This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
