Overview:
Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate clinical support in a busy gastroenterology practice located in the Midwest region. This role focuses on assisting with patient care management and ensuring smooth clinical operations throughout each patient visit.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Respond promptly to patient inquiries via telephone, providing reassurance, education, and appropriate triage. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and documenting chief complaints accurately.Communicate abnormal findings to physicians and ensure thorough documentation in electronic medical records. Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management, including sample logs and consents. Coordinate patient referrals, testing, and follow-up communications to ensure continuity of care.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to cleaning protocols. Education and Experience:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
