Structural Steel Estimator / Project Manager – Long Island, NY

Leading structural steel subcontractor on Long Island is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong steel detailing, estimating, and project coordination experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage structural steel projects from estimating through fabrication and erection
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, material estimates, and bid support
• Review contract drawings, specifications, and RFIs
• Coordinate with fabricators, shop teams, engineers, architects, and general contractors
• Oversee shop drawings, erection drawings, and detailing packages
• Track schedules, submissions, and project deliverables
• Ensure compliance with AISC standards and QA/QC procedures

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of structural steel estimating, detailing, or project management experience
• Strong knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with field/shop operations
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

• Structural steel detailing and modeling
• Fabrication coordination and erection support
• Material takeoffs and cost control
• Client and subcontractor coordination
• Experience working with commercial and industrial steel projects
