Position Overview:

This role involves providing support to customers by addressing their needs regarding the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery. The position requires travel to customer sites (50-60% of the time) to perform work directly on the machinery, ensuring functionality and resolving issues. This position plays a vital role in building strong working relationships with customers and contributing to overall profitability, with potential for commission on product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, fine-tune, and program additional logic for new projects and systems.

Respond promptly and effectively to customer service and maintenance requests.

Automate and integrate industrial packaging machinery, including baggers, scales, check-weighing systems, metal detection, X-ray detection, in-line conveyor systems, and print systems.

Perform system overhauls, repairs, and troubleshooting on existing equipment.

Capture customer information and ensure invoicing is completed accurately.

Log all customer interactions, service activities, and track expenses incurred during service delivery.

Travel Details:

Approximately 50-60% of the role involves travel to customer locations.

Travel arrangements are flexible, with the option for customized scheduling and return options.

An internal travel assistant is available to assist with booking and changes to travel plans.

Required Qualifications:

Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations, with approximately 50-60% of the role requiring on-site work.

Experience with setup, fine-tuning, programming additional logic, and performing Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.).

Proven ability to respond effectively and promptly to customer service calls and maintenance needs.

Experience in performing maintenance repairs, system overhauls, and troubleshooting on packaging machinery.
