Job Description Job Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Childcare Center Assistant Director located in Puyallup, WA.
The Childcare Center Assistnt Director will be responsible for helping the Center Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and communicating with parents and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Assist in Developing, implementing and review policies and procedures for the childcare center
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Manage staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Assist in planning and implementing educational and recreational activities for the children
Monitor the safety and well-being of the children at all times
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility
Develop and maintain relationships with parents and other stakeholders
Assist in preparing reports and other documentation as needed
Qualifications
20 ECE Credit, Short certification, at least 2 years as a Lead Teacher or 6 months experience in childcare administration or management or a related field
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage and motivate staff
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with parents and other stakeholders
Commitment to providing quality care for children
