Elevator Manager, Arkansas

Overview:
This position is responsible for overall management of our grain elevator facility in Helena, AR in support of the Company’s operational and commercial business plan while focusing on safety, productivity, and profitability. 

Responsibilities:
Manage all functions of operations, training, and safety to ensure employees are engaged and adhere to safe work practices.

Originate grain in accordance with flexible marketing and origination; foster and grow customer relationships along the value chain.

Manage facility logistics (truck, rail, barge) and oversee all operational expenses to ensure the budget and business plans are achieved.

Monitor grain inventories, grading processes, grain quality and capture blending opportunities.

Oversee facility housekeeping, regulatory compliance, and best practice programs to ensure adherence to the Company’s safety and operational standards.

Responsible for supervising accounting and business control activities including but not limited to: inputting contracts, contract/ticket applications, customer reports, daily activity reports, and month-end accounting.

Responsible for customer service issues and relations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business or related field preferred.

Minimum two years’ (2) grain elevator operations experience.

Knowledge of hedging on the Chicago Board of Trade, grain contracting, and NGFA rules preferred

Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead and manage superintendent, operators, and administrative staff.

Demonstrated experience in the areas of safety, productivity, and teamwork.

Experience with P&L statements, budget preparation, and capital planning.
