divh2Accounts Payable Supervisor/h2pWork Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday mostly/ppstrongPosition Overview:/strong The Accounts Payable Supervisor will assist the department manager in all activities related to the accounts payable function, including management of accounts payable personnel, oversight and processing of A/P transactions.
/ppEssential Job Functions:/pulliManage accounts payable functions for assigned client(s)/liliCoordinate with A/P associates to provide seamless AP workflow/liliSupervise associates in processing all related accounts payable transaction activity/liliAP review as needed to include coding and invoice preparation/liliObtain proper approval for payment of invoices/liliPrepare A/P related transaction batches for processing into the Accounting GL system/liliPrepare accounts payables checks as required/liliObtain required documentation from vendors (W-9, ACH info) as needed and archive accordingly/liliReview vendor statements and resolve outstanding items/liliMaintain proper storage of payables items using INDEX imaging system/liliProvide excellent customer service to clients, vendors and co-workers/liliApprove A/P associates time in ADP/liliAssist clients and managers with items of concern such as questions regarding expenses, vendors, etc.
/liliAssist with special projects as assigned/liliApply a team approach to completion of all month end reporting tasks/liliConduct all business in a highly ethical manner, exhibiting behavior, practices, and standards that uphold IMC core values/liliPerform other duties as assigned/li/ulpJob Requirements:/pulli8+ years of experience in a full-cycle, fast-paced Accounts Payable department, with significant supervisory experience required/liliStrong understanding of accounting and general ledger coding concepts and its implications as it relates to accurate financial statement presentation is essential/liliExcellent organizational skills and time management/liliEffective customer service and interpersonal skills/liliSolid dispute resolution skills/liliDemonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills/liliAbility to adapt to sudden changes in priority/liliProven leadership in mentoring staff/liliExperience in system conversions/li/ulpOther Skills/Abilities:/pulliUnderstanding of various ERP accounting software (Great Plains is a plus)/liliProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software/liliMust be a great communicator and have the ability to shape and grow team/liliAble to multi-task and meet assigned deadline/li/ul/div
