The job duties include: Ensuring that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations. Checking work in progress and when finished, checking for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.Working along with other workers, setting the pace for a wide range of duties, operating a variety of automotive and materials handling equipment while loading, unloading, and delivering equipment and supplies to specified destinations. Providing information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems.Operating all classes and types of motor vehicles including passenger cars, trucks of all sizes and capacities, and tractor trailers. Advising crane operator of clearances between the load and other objects and of possible hazardous conditions observed from the ground level by using a variety of hand signals peculiar to the trade.
