Journeyman Electrician (Industrial Construction) Location: Nevada Overview We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to support industrial construction projects, including new facility builds and upgrades to existing operations. This role involves a wide range of electrical work across power distribution, controls, and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate is versatile, safety-focused, and experienced working in fast-paced industrial or commercial environments. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain electrical systems including power distribution, transformers, lighting, and temporary construction power (up to 480V) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to plan and execute work Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components Assist with installation and modification of electrical equipment and systems Support commissioning and testing of electrical installations Develop basic material takeoffs, work plans, and as-built documentation Follow safety procedures and participate in job hazard analysis and pre-task planning Collaborate with project teams to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule Qualifications 5 years of experience at the journeyman level or higher in industrial or commercial environments Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V (medium voltage experience a plus) Ability to size conductors and conduit using NEC standards Experience using electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Experience with motor controls, drives, or PLCs is a plus Strong understanding of job site safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment&Requirements Active construction and industrial job sites, indoor and outdoor Exposure to weather, noise, and varying site conditions Ability to work at heights (up to ~60 ft) Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Flexibility for overtime, weekends, or on-call work as needed With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil&Gas, Power&Renewables, Chemicals, Construction&Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
