Scope

Power System Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the electrical distribution and transmission systems supporting ExxonMobil operations. This role monitors system performance, responds to alarms and abnormal operating conditions, supports restoration activities, and coordinates with field personnel to minimize downtime and maintain safe operating conditions.This position is based at the ExxonMobil Spring Campus and operates within a 24/7 control room environment supporting rotating shift operations. Main Functions

Safely operate electrical distribution and transmission systems within established loading and safety guidelines. Monitor system conditions and initiate corrective actions to optimize operations and maintain reliability. Support and coordinate service restoration procedures in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.Monitor electrical loads and communicate abnormal conditions to field personnel to maintain proper load flow and voltage levels. Handle alarms from related electrical and operational equipment and dispatch field teams to minimize downtime and production interruptions. Maintain accurate daily operational logs and records for compliance, planning, and operational history purposes.Assist with preparation of work clearances on distribution lines and substation equipment to ensure personnel safety. Participate in required training activities and operational readiness programs. Support ongoing operational and safety initiatives within the control room environment. Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum 4 years of experience in power distribution operations or related electrical operations role. Experience working in electrical distribution operations, transmission systems, substations, or related utility/power environments. Strong understanding of safe system operations and restoration procedures.Ability to work rotating day/night shifts in a 24-hour operational environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced operations environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Preferred Qualifications

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or higher in an electrical-related field. Distribution Operations experience and/or Distribution field experience. CAPS (Craft Advancement Progression Skills) certification. Distribution Lineman Training (DLT) certification. Experience with AspenTech Monarch SCADA.Prior control room or utility dispatch experience preferred. Work Environment

24/7 operational control room environment. Rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing operational demands. Notes
