DOC Administrative Review Board Office Associate

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to work with Administrative Review Board (ARB) chairpersons in coordinating, monitoring and scheduling ARB hearings. This individual will receive, monitor and track Administrative Review Hearings documents, work with other clerical staff to monitor and log incoming mail, and provide input into the creating and editing of training materials established for institution staff. In addition, they will keyboard a variety of documents that include legal and medical terminology, maintain files, and monitor special projects. We strongly encourage all qualified individuals to apply.Essential Functions: Works with Administrative Review Board (ARB) chairpersons in coordinating, monitoring and scheduling ARB hearings. Receives, monitors and tracks Administrative Review Hearings documents to ensure information, some of which contains legal and medical terminology, is submitted accurately.Works with other clerical staff to monitor and log incoming mail. Opens, date stamps, and logs daily incoming mail. Provides input into the creation and editing of the training materials established for institution staff. Keyboards procedures, memoranda, letters, and reports that include legal and medical terminology.Maintains files and monitors special projects to be completed. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications: Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm. Conditions of Employment: Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen. Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.Applicants are to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.
