We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Fiscal team and help maintain the integrity of our financial systems. This role plays a key part in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements and audit schedules
Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
Maintain fixed assets and coordinate online systems (HUD, APG, etc.)
Support year-end audits, including 990 and UFR prep
Oversee reporting such as 1099s, sales tax, and PILOTs
Perform account analysis and special projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
3+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and Massachusetts nonprofit procedures
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Blackbaud
Highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills
