Join our team and help create a supportive and empowering environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Lead Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in promoting independence, self-advocacy, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Support daily living activities (personal care, meal prep, cleaning)
Foster independence and encourage community involvement
Provide transportation for appointments and activities
Assist with medication administration (MAP certified) and health tracking
Lead and train staff during shifts, participate in interviews, and help fill schedule gaps
Maintain documentation and ensure a safe, respectful environment
Requirements
High school diploma or GED (degree in Human Services preferred)
At least 6 months of relevant experience (IDD/DD or brain injury support preferred)
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
MAP, CPR, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Compassion, flexibility, and strong communication skills
