Growing manufacturer in the greater Hickory, NC area is seeking a Process Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on work ethic to work on the production floor daily. Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, as well as at least 4 years of process experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in chemical or materials manufacturing preferred. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. location: Hickory, North Carolina

- Lead Kaizen events; planning, facilitating, and presenting outcomes to management
- Develop and maintain sustainment plans
- Implement best practices, process improvements, and equipment modifications
- Eliminate waste and improve cycle times
- Train staff on SOPs
- Work with plant engineering to implement capital project plans
- Serve as internal auditor to support compliance with AITF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
- B.S. in Engineering - Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial preferred
- At least 4 years of process improvement experience in manufacturing
- strong analytical skills
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Daily willingness to be hands-on with production
- Some travel required, about 15%
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 4 years of experience
