Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region as an RN Educator and Simulation Coordinator, where your expertise will shape the future of nursing education. This role focuses on addressing the educational and developmental needs of nursing staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and refinement of simulation experiences to enhance clinical learning, critical thinking, and decision-making. Serve as a liaison between healthcare facilities and nursing programs to foster collaboration and educational excellence. Support assigned units through classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and innovative learning technologies.Manage grant funding requirements related to simulation coordination, including data collection and reporting. Mentor and coach nursing content experts and preceptors, modeling best instructional practices aligned with INACSL standards. Maintain and organize simulation equipment, ensuring readiness and adherence to best practices.Collaborate with educators, administration, and clinical staff to maximize educational opportunities and cost-effective programming. Utilize evidence-based research to continuously improve nursing education programs.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred to provide a solid foundation in nursing principles and practices.
Experience:
Applicants should have at least five years of clinical nursing experience, including a minimum of one year in adult education or teaching. Experience in developing and implementing education programs based on needs assessments is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a proven track record in teaching nursing skills and critical thinking are also important.
Certifications and Licenses:
A current RN license valid in a Compact State is required. ACLS Instructor certification is preferred, along with American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physical and Work Environment:
This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting up to 35 lbs, and various movements including turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. The work environment may include exposure to infectious diseases and occasional interactions with challenging individuals, but generally involves minimal physical discomfort in a teaching setting with typical office noise and distractions.
