Position Summary:

The Political Science (US Government) Adjunct Faculty is responsible for teaching US Government/Political courses. The instructor will engage students through classroom, online, and/or hybrid modalities.

Duties&Responsibilities:• Teach up to nine credit hours in US Government, Political Science, or related areas. • Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with program and institutional learning outcomes. • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and participate in departmental assessment activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to use learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).

General Days/Hours:

Monday-Thursday 7:30 am- 5:00 am&Friday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess a Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in political science.

Preferred candidates will also posses the following experience:• College-level teaching experience, especially in a community college setting. • Experience with online instruction and course development. • Demonstrated commitment to student success, equity, and access in education.
