Strategic Account Manager– Propane Sales
The Strategic Account Manager– Propane Sales is an outside sales position accountable for the sale of the company's propane products and services. The position also provides ongoing support to the product distribution channels and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage assigned fuel accounts Contact prospective customers and establish buying cycles, determine customer needs, and create a customer supplier relationship Increase sales in assigned accounts and negotiate agreements to maximize profit Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive trusted advisor relationshipsSecure and place orders, taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels Understand changes to the marketplace and industry and maintain a high level of product knowledge Answer customer questions, troubleshoot problems regarding products provided, and address any customer complaintsPrepare sales information for customers and identify opportunities for sales process improvement Assist with daily pricing determination and communication Monitor promotions and assist with customer rebates processing Audit outside freight bills to ensure accuracy Other duties as assigned RequirementsRequired/Preferred Education&Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related area and 5+ years of experience in sales operations in a related industry Experience with managing key customer and vendor relationships and following through on new sales opportunities Strong customer focus and the ability to multitask and balance multiple customer needsExcellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills High level of written and oral communication skills Well-developed sales skills Eligible for company benefits including:
