Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Accounting Supervisor
to join a Finance team ASAP.
This role will be responsible for overseeing junior-level accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
Review and oversee junior accounting staff across general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Ensure accuracy and timely resolution of GL error reports, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
Supervise accounts payable processing, payroll activities, and non-payroll tax withholding
Support sales and use tax compliance and related filings
Assist with banking and cash-related activities, including foreign check collection
Provide guidance, quality control, and hands-on support to ensure continuity and accuracy within the Finance department
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar discipline
5+ years of general accounting experience
Prior experience in a
supervisory or senior accounting role
Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations
Experience reviewing the work of junior or staff-level accounting professionals
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable stepping into a fast-paced environment
Ability to work
