Caregiver/Care Professional, New York

Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Care Professionals to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout Staten Island.

Home Instead provides a variety of services that allow seniors to remain in their homes and meet the challenges of aging with dignity and compassion. We offer a great culture where you will feel supported by our reliable office staff 24 hours a day.

We offer free training courses through our online learning platform and offer opportunities for advancement.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Companionship

Safety Supervision

Meal Preparation

Light Housekeeping

Laundry

Medication and Appointment Reminders

Assistance with bathing, showering, and grooming

Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care

Requirements to be a Care Professional:

Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect

Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner

Prior experience working with the elderly

Shifts include:

Daytime

Evening

Weekend

Overnight

Live-In

Shifts that require employee to provide transportation must:

Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
